Previous Presentations

On May 31, 2023, St Marks mental health ministry held the first educational presentation regarding mental health issues.  Chris Ellman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, gave a talk titled “Your Story Matters: Trauma, Addiction and Vulnerability. 

During the next year, the Mental Health Ministry is planning to have additional educational presentations on various mental health topics.  Some of the topics that attendees at the first presentation suggested are:  Spirituality and Mental Health; Recognizing Mental Distress Symptoms (Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Suicidal Ideation); Providing for Caregivers; Advocating for Self and Others; Reducing the Stigma of Mental Illness; Utilizing Peer to Peer Support.  We hope that you will be able to attend these presentations.  The Mental Health Ministry is also developing a web page that can be accessed through St. Mark’s Web page.
